We must stand against the corruption of the Trump Administration and the broader deterioration of our democracy. We must demand that changes are made to protect and strengthen our democracy - changes like campaign finance reform, and codifying ethical norms into enforceable rules.
The Candlelit vigil is a simple but powerful gesture in which we are demanding respect for the rule of law, taking a stand against corruption and demanding action for our democracy. (In South Korea, peaceful candle light vigils were held every weekend to protest the corruption of president Park Geun-hye. On March 10, 2017, the Constitutional Court removed Park Geun-hye from presidency following an impeachment vote.)
By partaking in this event you will take a stand with 1000s of others against corruption in our democracy and demanding solutions.
By choosing to attend this event, you are committing to participate non-violently and in accordance with the law, to work to de-escalate confrontations with others, and to behave lawfully to ensure the safety of event participants. You also acknowledge that you are solely responsible for any injury or damage to your person or property resulting from or occurring during this event, and that you release all event sponsors and organizers (and their officers, directors, employees, and agents) from any liability for that injury or damage.
