After the disgraceful & traitorous Helsinki meeting between Trump & Putin, our nation, our democracy, and our elections are in dire peril. To protest this, our event is scheduled for 5:30 PM tomorrow at the intersection of NE 175th St and 140th Ave NE in downtown Woodinville. (This intersection has on its corners a NAPA, Union 76, Bank of America, & 7-11) It's a major intersection with lots of sidewalk space on all sides.
This event is meant to be family friendly. Even though the situation we are protesting is infuriating, this rally is meant to demonstrate compassion, empathy and community. It's a peaceful, positive expression of our First Amendment rights to assembly, petition and speech.
A few friendly reminders before the event:
1. This event is a peaceful picket protest--bring your signs! Suggestions: Dump TrumPutin; It's the 25th for 45; Get Putin out of our WH, etc.
2. Dress for the weather--the event is on, rain or shine. In this heat, you might consider bringing an umbrella and of course have water on hand.
3. We need to stay on the sidewalks and make sure people can still get past us. We can't impede the right of way on the street or sidewalks.
4. Please pack out your signs, and help pick up any debris before we leave.
Parking is available in the downtown Woodinville Park and Ride lot, 17800 140th Ave NE - it's about 1-2 blocks from the intersection. I suggest parking on the 140th side of the lot.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
